My Addiction

Hello friends!
I have an addiciton to fabric!
Now that being said, have you ever seen any fabric crafts shared here on the blog?
Nope, cause I don't sew, except for yoyo's which are easy!

But I have an addiction to feedsack print fabric.
I love to buy fat quarters and Moda Charm Packs!

I think someday maybe I will pull out my sewing machine and learn, but for now I will just gaze lovingly at my overflowing stash of sweetness!

How about you?
Do you love to collect something without really planning to use it?

Have a wonderful day, Lindsey

You Make My Heart Sing

Hello friends!
I recently picked up this fun, bright paper line called Neapolitan,
by American Crafts.

I loved the patterns of this line and created a paper bag album.
On the cover, I used a fun new doily shaped Sizzix die that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

I thought this was a very versatile line that would be perfect for scrapping parties or everyday life.

The line also had a fun camera and Polaroid feel too it!

One of my favorite sheets was the strawberry pattern!

I am selling this mini album here on ebay.

Wishing you happiness, Lindsey

Twyla on Tuesday - Spring Dreaming

Hello dear friends.
The days come and go so quickly and I am enjoying them to the fullest.
It truly is the little things in life that mean the most.

The trees blooming out.
The warm fresh breezes.

Soaking up nature.
It is good for the soul.
Listening to it's music.
What a joy.

Choices we make each day may seem small,
but add up to your life!

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring as much as I am!
All the pictures in this post were taken at my beloved
Arrow Rock, MO.
Have a wonderful day!
Love, Twyla

I think he is too cute!

from the 50's through the 70's.
Irmi also went by the names of Nursery Originals and Nursery Plastics.

A Vintage Greeting, The Olde Curiousity Shoppe and Tags

Hello friends!
I wanted to share a super sweet card with you today!
The butterflies make me think of Spring!

Graphic 45 is one of my favorite companies, but I wasn't sure I was going to like their new Olde Curiosity Shoppe line when I first saw it, but when I started creating a mini album with it, I fell in love the unique style!

It's got a great antique vibe that really worked well with the paper bag book.
I cut out small paper pieces from the line such as a sheet full of butterflies that I spread throughout the album.

I also did a lot of inking and distressing
with my favorite Distress Ink pad, Walnut Stain.

I loved the image of the woman with the clock key coming out of her back!
The sheet of green bottles in all different shapes and sizes also was also great for cutting apart for embellishments.

I am selling this album here on ebay.

I have also been taking part in a 2 week online class with Tim Holtz!
It's called, Creative Chemistry 101. I have been having so much fun and learning techniques using my favorite Ranger products!
Here are a few tags I have made so far.

Wishing you a lovely day, Lindsey

Upcoming Class and Vintage Style Cards

Hello friends!
I am excited to say that I will soon be teaching a mini album class at my local scrapbook store, Scrapbook Generation! I designed a vintage style travel album using file folders to create a unique and fun book.

I created a couple of cards using one of my favorite paper lines ever!
October Afternoon's Farmhouse line. I love the soft vintage feel of theses patterns!

I used my Cricut to cut out small banner and scallop shapes and added dyed seam binding and pink buttons.

Twyla on Tuesday - Vintage Finds

Hello friends!
On a recent trip to a new antique store
I spotted this lovely vintage Little Red Riding Hood
print.  I have always loved Little Red.  When I was
a little girl my grandma used to read this story to me.
I knew it by heart.  I think about it now and can't believe
that mother let her go through the woods all by herself!
What was she thinking?!

I also couldn't resist this little wagon.
As of now, it's holding some of my art supplies.
The art supplies grow and are threatening to take over my home!
At least I can make them cute!

I often pick up the old pictures of children I find in the
antique stores.  I love looking at their little faces and wonder
about them.  The back of the picture says it was taken Nov. 30, 1931.
Carol Jean, Billy and Bobby.

Remember to do something you love today.
Think of the possibilities!
Rejoice in the Spring!
Relish life!

Love, Twyla

Collecting Irmi - Hey Diddle Diddle

Hello friends!
It's time to share another piece of my Irmi Collection!
This is a sweet night light with the nursery rhyme theme of Hey Diddle Diddle.

The Irmi company created many beautiful hand painted, wooden nursery items such as lights, switchplates, plaques, mobiles and more which were produced from 1950's - 1970's.

Irmi also went by the names of Nursery Originals or Nursery Plastics.

I have been collecting Irmi pieces for about 3 years now.
Most pieces in my collection are lamps and switchplates covers.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Best wishes to
everyone today!

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
The rain fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Love, Twyla and Lindsey

Pretty Vintage Find

Hello friends!
I picked up this cool vintage notepad holder at an Antique shop!
How cool is it that the role of paper is still intact, as well as the pencil!
I really love how the pencil looks as if it were wittled with a knife instead of a regular sharpner.

I thought the graphics along the sides were so sweet
and perfect to hang in my craft room!

Have a lovely day, Lindsey
